How to place an order through the enquiry form
All orders start on the enquiry form on our contact page. Tell us what item you need, the wording to engrave, the date required and whether you want collection in Pretoria or courier delivery anywhere in South Africa. If you are ordering for a family group or a funeral service, please include the quantity and the names exactly as they should appear.
Once we receive your details, our team confirms what is possible, checks the layout, and comes back with the next steps. For photo books, please include the pictures you want used and any caption notes. For jewellery, urns and plaques, it helps to send the exact spelling of names and dates, because these items are prepared carefully and mistakes are costly to correct.
What can be engraved and what are the limits
We do engraving on jewellery, urns, plaques, gift items and selected keepsakes. Name engraving, date engraving and short message engraving are the most common requests. If your message is longer, we will advise whether it should be shortened for the item size or moved to a photo book or plaque where there is more space.
- Jewellery is best for names, initials, dates or a short phrase.
- Urns and plaques allow more room, but spacing still depends on the item size.
- We always check legibility, line breaks and alignment before production.
If you are unsure about wording, keep it simple. A clean inscription often looks better and stays easy to read over time, especially on smaller pieces.
Turnaround times for keepsakes and memorial gifts
Turnaround depends on the item, the quantity and how quickly we receive your approval. Simple engraving jobs can often move faster than custom photo book work or larger family orders. During busy periods, such as long weekends and peak memorial seasons, it is best to allow extra time.
We do not rush personalised work because the detail matters. If your order is time sensitive, tell us upfront through the enquiry form and we will confirm what can be done. For bulk family orders or multiple items, production takes longer because each piece needs its own check before it leaves our Lynnwood studio.
Where possible, we will give you a practical timeline before you confirm. That way you can plan collection, funeral dates, or delivery to family members in other towns.
Proof approval before we start production
For many personalised items, we send a proof for approval before we engrave or print. This is especially useful for names, dates, memorial wording and custom photo book layouts. Please check every detail carefully, including spelling, punctuation and the order of names.
- Read the proof on a phone and on a larger screen if possible.
- Check all dates carefully, especially birth and memorial dates.
- Confirm the final layout as soon as you are happy, so we can proceed without delay.
If you request changes after approval, it may affect the turnaround time. A careful review at this stage helps avoid disappointment and keeps the order on schedule.
Collection points around Pretoria and nearby areas
Customers may arrange pickup from our Lynnwood studio or from selected pickup areas around Pretoria and the wider east and north of the city. These options are useful if you are nearby and want to collect in person rather than wait for courier delivery. Please note that pickup is arranged by prior confirmation only, so do not arrive without checking first.
- Lynnwood Pickup
- Menlyn Pickup
- Brooklyn Pickup
- Centurion Pickup
- Silverton Pickup
- Garsfontein Pickup
- Montana Pickup
- Midrand Pickup
If you are not sure which pickup point suits you best, mention your area on the enquiry form and we will advise. For memorial items, many clients prefer collection from a nearby point so they can inspect the item before taking it home.
Courier delivery nationwide and safe packing
We courier orders across South Africa, including Gauteng, the coast and smaller towns where collection is not practical. Courier packaging is done with care, especially for fragile keepsakes, engraved jewellery and urns. Coastal humidity and rough handling during transit are taken into account when we prepare each parcel.
For deliveries, please provide the full street address, suburb, town and the correct contact name. If the parcel is going to a workplace, funeral home or church, include the relevant delivery instructions. Some locations need an extra day or two because of local routes or municipal access rules, so plan early if the item is needed for a service date.
We recommend allowing buffer time for courier movement, load-shedding delays at handover points, and any last minute address changes. That small bit of planning helps avoid stress when the order is tied to a ceremony or family gathering.
