1. Using this site in a responsible way
The Beloved website is provided for customers who want to enquire about keepsake gifts, memorial items and personalisation services. You may browse the site, submit an enquiry form, request pricing and place an order where applicable. You must use the site lawfully and may not misuse it, interfere with its operation, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it.
Information shown on the site is intended to help you choose a product or service, but final specifications are confirmed during the order process. We may update content, pricing, product options and service availability from time to time without prior notice. If a description, image or detail is incorrect, the corrected information will apply once confirmed with you.
2. Enquiries, orders and proof approval
Orders are generally initiated through the enquiry form on the contact page. Once we have reviewed your request, we may ask for names, dates, wording, photographs or other details needed for engraving, photo book design, urn inscription, plaque personalisation or gift boxing. You are responsible for checking that all spelling, dates and wording are correct before approval.
- Proofs must be approved before production starts where proof approval is part of the service.
- Custom work cannot be returned simply because the text or image was approved by you and later changed in your mind.
- Bulk family orders may require additional confirmation on quantities, names and delivery details.
If you submit content for personalisation, you confirm that you have the right to use it and that it does not infringe any third party rights. We may decline content that is offensive, unlawful or not suitable for engraving or print.
3. Prices, payment and stock availability
Prices are quoted in South African Rand and may change if product materials, engraving depth, layout complexity or courier requirements change. A quoted price is only confirmed once the order details have been accepted and payment terms have been agreed. Where a deposit is required, production may only begin after payment has cleared.
Some items are made to order and some are subject to material availability. If an item or finish is unavailable, we will contact you with an alternative option or revised lead time. We do our best to keep lead times accurate, but delays can happen during peak periods, public holidays, load shedding or courier disruptions.
- All prices include only the items and services listed in the quote.
- Additional changes requested after approval may affect the final price.
- Special packaging for fragile or high value items may be added where needed.
4. Delivery, collection and risk
We offer courier delivery nationwide and pickup from selected areas in Pretoria and surrounding regions, including Lynnwood, Menlyn, Brooklyn, Centurion, Silverton, Garsfontein, Montana and Midrand. Collection arrangements must be confirmed before arrival. Once an order has been handed to the courier or collected by you, risk in the goods passes to you subject to applicable consumer law.
Please check your delivery address carefully. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses, restricted access, recipient unavailability, weather, road closures or courier network delays. Coastal humidity, heat and handling conditions can affect certain materials, so some items may be packed with extra protection. If you are not available for delivery, redelivery charges may apply.
5. Returns, cancellations and consumer rights
Because many of our products are personalised, engraved or made to order, they are often not returnable unless they are defective, damaged on arrival, or supplied incorrectly. Please inspect your item as soon as you receive it and report any issue promptly with clear photographs and a description of the fault.
Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, your rights under South African law remain in place. If a non personalised product is returned in acceptable condition, the return may be considered according to our standard policy and the condition of the item. Refunds, replacements or repairs will be handled after assessment and may depend on the nature of the issue.
- Cancellations after production has started may attract costs already incurred.
- Approved spelling, dates and layout cannot normally be changed after engraving or printing begins.
- Refunds are not automatic for change of mind on custom orders.
6. Intellectual property and submitted content
All text, product descriptions, layouts, images and compiled content on this site are protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights unless stated otherwise. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or use the site content for commercial purposes without written permission. Personal use for enquiry or ordering is permitted.
When you send us photographs, wording or other material, you give us permission to use that material only for the purpose of completing your order. You remain responsible for ensuring that any images, names or messages supplied by you are accurate and properly authorised. We accept no liability for disputes arising from material provided by you.
7. Limitation of liability and contact
We take care with every engraved piece, photo book, urn inscription and personalised gift, but our liability is limited to the extent allowed by South African law. We are not responsible for indirect loss, loss of opportunity, or damage arising from misuse of the site, third party delays, or information supplied by you that is incomplete or incorrect.
If you need help with these terms, or if you want to clarify an order condition, please use the enquiry form on our contact page. By continuing to use the site, you confirm that you understand these terms and agree to follow them. These terms may be updated from time to time, and the latest version will apply from the date it is posted.
